When you visit Welgemoed Chiroptractic you can expect to be treated with care and compassion.

Upon entering our office, our receptionist will  welcome you and will request that you complete our  patient forms.

Your chiropractor needs a complete picture of your health in order to provide the best possible treatment for you as an individual. This includes your family medical history, previous injuries and illnesses, lifestyle information and details of your main complaint.

Please bring along any previous X-rays relating to your complaint.

Dr Fourie will then discuss your health-related concerns, and we will perform a complete chiropractic examination using standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests.

You may be asked to go for X-rays if further clarity is needed.

Dr Fourie will then suggest a treatment plan which may include some of the following interventions:

Massage

Muscle therapy

Traction

Adjustment/ Manipulation of the affected area

Dry needing

The prescription of orthotics

Exercise and postural advise

Dietary and supplement advise

Chiropractic spinal adjustive therapy will in most cases show effectiveness within four to twelve sessions, depending on the duration and severity of the problem. Some stiffness, soreness, lethargy or slight alterations in body function may be experienced after musculo-skeletal adjustments.

These sessions are followed by a maintenance programme.

Remember prevention is better than cure.

Regular chiropractic treatment can help you feel looser, more aligned and less tense.
